Western BOCES Marine Studies Enrichment Program
This is a FREE residential marine science summer camp for Grades 11-12. The camp is a 5-day, 4-night residential camp on Long Island's beautiful east end. Students will go on several excursions and field trips that allow them to investigate some of Long Island's vast marine resources. The program will take place July 10, 2023 - July 14, 2023 . Boss Girls Free Virtual Entrepreneurship Camp for High School Girls
Zahn Innovation Center, a startup incubator at the City College of New York (CCNY) is sponsoring a FREE entrepreneurship program this summer that will be virtual. Students will work on their own startup ideas as they learn to build a business from the ground up. They will gain new skills, develop greater confidence, make new friends along the way, and hear from women entrepreneurs throughout the program. Oceanography at Stony Brook Southampton
Students will examine the World Ocean and the chemical, geological, and physical processes that control its major features and the life that inhabits it and explore human interactions with the marine environment. This intensive course is specifically designed for motivated high school students wishing for college credit. This course will run for 2 weeks and meet 4-5 weekdays at the Stony Brook Southampton campus. Students must have completed high school biology and be at least 16 years old. Robert W. Greene Summer Institute for High School Journalists
This seven-day residential summer workshop at Stony Brook University is for current high school sophomores and juniors who are considering careers in journalism. It will provide expert instruction and hands-on experience in the fundamentals of reporting, writing, and editing and the use of video and still photography. Reporters, editors and photographers from some of the New York area's most respected newspapers broadcast and online news outlets will train student journalists using state-of-the art technology. Five Towns College
This is a 5 week summer program (July 5, 2021 - August 4, 2022) for students entering their 11th and 12th grade in the Fall of 2022. Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Summer
The DNA learning Center in Cold Spring Harbor is offering fun and challenging week-long camps at four locations. Guided by experienced instructors, science enthusiasts entering 6th-12th grade use sophisticated laboratory and computer equipment to perform experiments several grade levels ahead of their peers. Vaughn College Step Program (STEM related fields) and Hybrid Academy
This free academy is for 7th - 12th graders who are economically disadvantaged or African American, Hispanic/Latino, Allaskan Native or American Indian. This program will expose students to STEM related fields, aviation related fields while providing tutoring, standardized test prep and college prep. Columbia Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers (SHAPE)
Shape is a selective pre-college program that introduces high school students to college-level engineering and science courses taught by the faculty. Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts
Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts is a summer school designed to provide opportunities for children to develop artistic skills, regardless of their level of talent. The Center's students work with a professional faculty, and they participate in public performances and exhibits that reflect the high standards to which the Center aspires. Usdan is situated on a 200-acre woodland campus in Huntington, Long Island. Each summer, 1,600 students, ages 5-18, travel to Usdan daily on buses that depart from neighborhoods throughout the New York metropolitan area. There are over 40 classes to choose from. Adelphi is partnering with Winthrop-University Hospital for students who are interested in exploring Careers in Medicine and Health Professions. This weeklong, non-credit summer science program is for students entering 9, 10, 11th and 12th grade. This 2 week class is designed to expose you to a high-quality undergraduate architecture program. The core of this course is studio work. Pratt Institute is offering this program to students who are between the ages of 16 and 18 years old who would like to explore the possibility of studying art, design, architecture, or creative writing. Spitzer School of Architecture of CUNY is offering a Lab in architecture which is geared toward anyone who is considering studies and a career in architecture. New York State Summer School of the Arts
Free your imagination and be part of an inspiring adventure in the fields of Ballet, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, Media Arts, Choral and Orchestra.
